Turning a shaving

About Badlands shaving

Working with wood has always been a part of our family’s passion. I began in the construction trade nearly 40 years ago. Turning wood started as a hobby as I enjoyed turning out pens for friends and family. It soon turned into a business but I found I liked producing razors more than pens. My sons have helped with the turning and lately I am starting to get my grandchildren involved. My wife does the majority of the engraving on our products, does a good job of quality control and also does shipping and accounting.  So you can see... we are a small family business, but don't let that fool you.  We can produce the quality and quantity that you're looking for.

Each piece that we produce is as unique as it is beautiful.  We spend a lot of time searching for the most beautiful and exotic pieces of wood so we can produce the highest quality products for my customers.  Each piece of wood is carefully examined before it is turned to determine the best way to cut it to enhance it's beauty.

We started pouring our own resin a few years ago and that has added fun and beauty to a lot of our products. We especially like producing hybrid (resin and wood) shaving brushes and razors. The combination of the wood and resin creates some stunning results!

We do not use any duplicating methods.  Each piece produced is a unique one of a kind item and we take the time to ensure you get the highest quality at a reasonable price.

Our products have been featured on the DIY television show Blog Cabin and online at diynetwork.com, greatamericancountry.com (GAC) and lauriemarchhome.com.

Thank you for your interest in our products.  We truly appreciate each and every customer and do our very best to make sure you get quality and fast service.  -- Melvin
